Christ died once for all and then took his place at the right hand of God. We await his second coming in power and glory.
On that day we will come to understand God’s plan for our salvation, and we will praise the Lord for his compassion and mercy towards us.

The Widow’s Offering
The widow’s offering of a penny was made out of love and of the little on which she had to live. In the same way, the widow at Sidon was willing to share her little with the prophet Elijah.
We are called never to be afraid to give generously to God, who will always provide for us. All our gifts are to be given lovingly and generously.
Love God, and love your neighbour as yourself
Christ calls us to love God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength, and to love our neighbour as ourselves. Love is of the very essence of the Christian faith.
This love demands nothing less than everything, and that is why it is the greatest commandment of all.
Master, let me see again
God’s gift of faith to us help us to see the world with a new vision. Christ renews our faith so that we may see more clearly the world in which we live.
We are God’s children and share in Christ’s priesthood; we try never to lose sight of this great privilege that has been given to us.
Christ’s Death is our Ransom
God our Father showed his love for us by sending his Son, not to be served, but to serve. Christ showed his love for us by giving his life in atonement for our sins.
He is our high priest who has gone through to the highest heaven but not before experiencing the depth of human suffering.
The Poverty of Riches
Rich people may be too preoccupied with their worldly possessions to follow Christ. He tells us that those with riches find it hard to enter the kingdom of God, but the most important thing is to be wise through God’s word and see wealth and material things in their proper perspective. Then we will come to appreciate the richness of poverty for Christ’s sake.
Marriage is the Bond of Unity
In marriage, a husband and wife form a unity, according to God’s plan from the very beginning. A Christian marriage can be a witness to the world of the self-giving love of Christ.
Anyone who is not against Christ is for him
We often tend to be exclusive, thinking that God acts only through those we recognise as fellow believers.
Yet there are many good people through whom the Holy Spirit works, even though they may not call themselves Christians. Rather than seeing this as a problem, we can see
Christ opens our ears and our lips
The power of Christ helps us to understand the Gospel and to speak its message to others. Even though in the world’s eyes we may be insignificant, nevertheless the Lord has chosen us to be heirs to his kingdom. We do not need to be afraid. Our God is always faithful to his promises.
The commandments of God
Christ did not come to set aside God’s commandments but to fulfil them. He shows us how we are to act in order to witness to the power of God’s word within us.
Faith without good works is dead, and we show we are God’s people by our care of those in need, rather than by adhering to human rules and traditions.
